Where You Can Find Yoga Around The Shore, Distanced and Up Close

With restrictions loosening and people being allowed to frequent gyms and spas in growing numbers, everyone is adjusting to a new normal, and trying to figure out what their comfort level is.

To clear up some of the confusion about who is still operating, who is open, and who is still holding virtual sessions you can enjoy from the comfort of your living room if you’re just not ready to venture out yet, we’ve compiled a list of local spots to get you back on track.

KUR Studios
Kur in Asbury Park offers a variety of services, including a variety of yoga. Their yoga sessions in studio with a maximum of 4 people in attendance, or via virtual livestream with no limit, every day of the week. Classes start at 9:30 am and last an hour. Anything from Slow Flow, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, or Yoga Sculpt are on the menu at Kur. Registration required, sign up online or call 732-361-8956.

Metta Yoga
Metta Yoga in Neptune has slowly reopened its doors and is offering a mix of contactless classes and virtual sessions. Registration is required. Classes at Waverly and can be secured through MindBody here. For access to virtual classes, pick between Metta Virtual or Metta Unlimited memberships. Visit the website for more info.

Yoga Anjali
Yoga Anjali of Belmar is already planning on doing on the beach sessions in Avon for summer season 2021. Online Zoom classes are available for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with Saturdays available in October. Visit the website or call 732-567-0206.

Shape Shop
Shape Shop in Asbury Park is offering online classes with rock and roll vibes, with the option to “pick your playlist” for this video series. Available via monthly subscription only. Their studio is also open with limited capacity. Visit the website or call 732-361-7387 for more info.

Younique Yoga
Younique Yoga reopened on August 15 at their Allenhurst and Highlands locations and are currently at 25% capacity, but their Belmar location remains closed.
